Architectural design is about creating a structure and space that balances innovative and sustainable ideas with practical working and living environments.
We put that into practice as part of a UK-wide initiative to create the design for a new university campus in Hereford that will be home to more than 200 engineers of the future.
The design incorporated the use of sustainable timber and materials to create a range of spaces for educational needs while being capable of inspiring those learning and working within it. NMite invited initial designs from architects throughout the UK as part of a competition to design the new campus. It stipulated the use of timber technology within the design.
