We were charged with transforming this 19th century blacksmiths house into a modern home. The property was large, but the blacksmiths workshop still made up 2/3 of the ground floor. We converted these spaces and added a new glazed oak frame to the rear to flood the house with light. Allied to this the whole house was refurbished, adding new oak doors, new windows and a new lighting scheme throughout.
Special features of the design include a carefully positioned dormer window to allow a view to Montgomery Castle, exposing the original timbers and two characters hidden amongst the roof! See if you can spot them.
