After graduating university in May 2016, I was given the opportunity to join Hughes Architects as an Architectural Technologist. My role within the team is to take clients visions from initial concept through to technical design, whilst also assisting these designs through the construction stage to completion.
I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton, achieving a first class honours degree in Architectural Technology, achieving two awards for best architectural design and best heritage scheme for my final year project.
With my degree course being CIAT accredited, my next steps to furthering my qualifications are to become a fully Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
Outside of the office, you will find me in the gym throwing weights about or on the football field for my local club, Abermule. I have sights for competing in CrossFit competitions but with a recent shoulder injury, this may not be as soon as id like. I’m a fan of all sports generally and in particular football and rugby, shouting for Wolverhampton Wanderers and the home nation respectively.
I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie and I’m a sucker for a good hike. Recent expeditions took me around the peaks of the Swiss Alps whilst on a trip around Europe in the summer of 2015. I seek to take on larger mountains in due course, with overly optimistic sights for Everest but who knows
Nothing compares to a good hike up Snowdon though.
